Review: Carhartt
Women's Waterproof Breathable Jacket
I am absolutely thrilled with my Carhartt waterproof breathable Jacket. The jacket is made from a durable nylon with a special water resistant finish. Because there is a breathable membrane, body heat can escape even when it is raining.
There is a draw cord adjustable hood, but it is removable, making it a little more practical. The styling is flattering to any body type and has a draw cord at the bottom to make it more form fitting. Practical and stylish, this has become one of my favorite pieces for any outdoor activity.
WB018 Women's Modern Fit Jean- Straight Leg
These jeans are made for the active, over fifty woman. They are stylish, yet have a great fit. Because they have stretch material, the jean waist stays in place when we sat down or bent over. The color is great and they are sturdy. After using them for a year, there is very little wear. Carhartt realizes that not everyone wearing jeans is twenty.
WJ097 Women’s Sandstone Detroit Jacket/Sherpa Lined
Although Carhartt is known for work clothes, they are also aware that women like their clothes to be stylish. Our tester grew up in the Detroit area, so the name of this jacket appealed to her, but the style is what convinced her to wear it. It has the rugged look that Carhartt is famous for, but the added touches of the corduroy contrasting color color, and the great fit. Our tester felt comfortable working outside, yet also going shopping in it. Multi- purpose is one of our criteria and this fits the bill.
C01 Men's Duck Chore Coat/Blanket-Lined
This jacket is great for those cool days in Northern Michigan. Our tester loved the rugged look and wear of this jacket, plus the fact that it was dressy enough to do errands. The cloth contrasting collar and cuffs, along with the blanket lining, makes this a the perfect all around mid weight jacket.
K185 Men’s Heavyweight Hooded Zip-Front Sweatshirt
It is hard to find a sweatshirt that is warm enough for those cold day projects. This hooded zip front sweatshirt fits the bill. Usually when he started a project, he was cooler and had the sweatshirt zipped, sometimes even with the hood up. As the day got warmer, or as he got more frustrated, he warmed up and appreciated the full zip to cool off without taking the sweatshirt off. He loved the elastic on the sleeves to keep them out of the way. This is the sweatshirt that stays on a hook by the door for ready use.
B159 Men’s Loose-Fit Canvas Carpenter Jean
Not everyone who works outside for a living is in construction. We gave these to a tester that works as a grounds superintendant. He swears by these jeans, knowing they will look better than the average jean, but be rugged and warm enough to wear daily. His only comment is he wished he was given five pair to test!
