Rainier Event WPI

We love when there is a techy term like WPI that says, “we ensure that water does not penetrate”. That definitely proved to be more than true as one our clumsier hikers took to the trails on a muddy afternoon. We are also able to say with confidence that when they are covered with mud up to the ankle, just hose them off and they are new all over again. They are a true fit that are comfortable even after a full 18-mile hike. The 4:SYS midsoles are six density sole that is designed for different pressure points of the foot.

Along with dunking the boots in mud and water to test the waterproofness, kicking roots and rocks is a byproduct of being clumsy as well. We certainly gave the Rainier boots a thorough kicking up and down the trail. The toe guard did its job well and stood up to the challenge. As with any hiking boot, it is about how they perform over the long haul. Check back in the future to see how they continue to perform as we get out and live life one step at a time.
