Fifty Sense: Common Sense Ideas for Thriving after 50

Clothing: Outerwear

The key to planning a trip is to layer your clothes. You can keep your outerwear to a minimum if you have warm clothes underneath. You want outerwear that protects you against driving rain, and extreme cold.

Remember, after a day of exercise, you may get chilled very quickly once you stop. Look for multipurpose. My down lightweight jacket is very warm, feels like I have slipped into my sleeping bag when I wear it, and I also use it as my pillow. It is great knowing where my warm jacket is when I have to get up in the middle of the night.

We hope you not only learn something new, but will also share your experiences with us. Send in your outerwear experiences and reviews and share them others!
